Pair of Kellam alumni help ODU walk off a winner against Saint Joseph's

Nick Walker’s sacrifice fly scored fellow Kellam alum Turner Bishop with the winning run Sunday, capping a three-run ninth inning in Old Dominion’s 7-6 nonconference baseball victory over Saint Joseph’s in the final game of the ODU Baseball Tournament at Bud Metheny Complex.

The teams entered the ninth tied 4-4 before the winless Hawks scored twice in the top half. Vinnie Pasquantino drew a walk to open the bottom half. With runners on second and third and one out, he scored on a balk to make it 6-5. Bishop, pinch hitting, followed with a run-scoring triple to tie it, then came home on Walker’s fly to left.
