BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WAVY/AP) — Old Dominion probably wants to put Saturday night’s road loss behind them as soon as possible. The Western Kentucky offense scored at will in the first half, a benches-clearing brawl broke out in the third quarter, and the Monarchs (4-3, 2-1 Conference USA) had to watch one of their teammates be taken off the field in an ambulance.
All of that is not including the final score; a 59-24 loss to the Hilltoppers (5-3, 3-1) who halted the Monarchs three-game win streak.
Hilltoppers quarterback Mike White threw for 378 yards and four touchdowns, while his team’s defense held the second-best rushing attack in Conference USA to just 67 total yards.
