NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University and the University of Virginia have agreed to a three-year contract in football that will see the two squads face off in Charlottesville in 2018, ODU Athletic Director Dr. Wood Selig announced on Monday. The Monarchs will host the Cavaliers in 2020 and the series returns to UVA in 2022.
“I think this is a win–win series for both ODU and Virginia. It will be a great series for fans of ODU and UVA and for college football fans in general throughout the Commonwealth. This series fits perfectly with our other attractive home and home ACC scheduling such as Virginia Tech, UNC, NC State, Wake Forest and AAC member East Carolina,” Selig said.
