Old Dominion Falls at Charlotte, 1-2, in C-USA Opener

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (2-6-0, 0-1-0 C-USA) fell to Charlotte (5-4-0, 1-0-0 C-USA) by a 2-1 score in the Conference USA opener on Sunday afternoon. Goalkeeper Krista Moisio compiled a career high eight saves for the Lady Monarchs.

ODU’s Kathryn Hill scored an unassisted goal in the 70th minute to cut the Lady Soccer Monarchs’ deficit in half, 1-2; however the 49ers would hold off Old Dominion in the remaining 10 minutes of regulation to claim victory.

Charlotte struck just four minutes into the match, when Martha Thomas finished an Emily Truelove pass, to give the 49ers a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
