Old Dominion sophomore shortstop Tommy Bell was named Wednesday to the Conference USA all-academic team.
Bell, a geography major who has started all 51 games for the Monarchs, has a 3.81 cumulative grade-point average and posted a 4.0 in the spring.
He’s third-best on the team with 33 RBIs and has committed just seven errors this season.
The Monarchs (33-18, 14-13), who’ve won five in a row, head to Western Kentucky for the final series of the regular season this weekend at Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green.
