Old Dominion’s Emilie Petit became the first women’s swimmer in program history to claim the Conference USA Swimmer of the Week award.
The sophomore from Dijon, France, helped lead the Lady Monarchs to a 162-137 win over Georgetown on Saturday, notching a pair of individual event victories. She posted a meet-best 2:08.22 in the 200 butterfly and also won the 200 individual medley in 2:08.54, a time that was more than four seconds faster than anyone in the field.
