Old Dominion’s Maggie Simmermacher became the school’s first women’s player to be named Conference USA Golfer of the Year on Friday.
Simmermacher, a senior from Argentina, was joined on the all-conference first team by fellow ODU senior Katerina Vlasinova. Simmermacher has four top-10 finishes this season, including a third-place effort at the Palmetto Intercollegiate. She owns a 73.3 scoring average and is currently ranked 161st nationally by GolfStat.
Vlasinova leads the team with five top-10 finishes this season, including three top fives. The Czech Republic native was runner-up at the Brickyard Collegiate and placed eighth at the C-USA Championship.
