Duke overcame a 10-point deficit by winning five of the final six bouts to edge Old Dominion 19-16 in a wrestling dual meet Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The Monarchs (9-9) opened a 13-3 lead on victories by Michael McGee (125), No. 19 Alex Madrigal (141) and Kenan Carter (149). Madrigal won by fall at the 2:02 mark and Carter picked up a 16-4 major decision.
The Blue Devils (7-7) turned things around, winning the next three matches to cut their deficit to 13-11.
Antonio Agee helped ODU stop the bleeding with a 3-1 decision at 184 that extended the lead to 16-11, but Duke notched major decisions at 197 and 285 to pull off the comeback.
