Old Dominion wrestlers won three bouts Friday night in a 28-9 Mid-American dual loss to No. 22 Central Michigan at McGuirk Arena.
In the night’s marquee match-up, ODU 184-pounder Jack Dechow, ranked ninth nationally, scored a takedown in the final two seconds to decision No. 16 Jordan Ellingwood 3-1.
Other Monarchs winners: Seldon Wright (Oscar Smith) at 165 pounds and Kevin Budock at 141. Wright is ranked No. 19.
"I think we left some matches out there on the scoreboard tonight," Martin continued. "These are guys we are going to see again in a few weeks at the MAC Championships, so we need to keep improving and be ready to turn those losses into wins when it matters most in March.
