PHILADELPHIA — Tim Young defeated 11th-ranked Stephen Loiseau at 197 pounds Sunday, and the Old Dominion wrestlers closed the regular season with a 23-12 victory over Drexel in a Mid-American Conference dual.
Young scored a 5-4 decision for his first career win over a ranked opponent.
Luke Dragac (174), No. 14 Michael McGee (125), Trevon Majett (133), No. 14 Sa’Derian Perry (141) and No. 6 Larry Early (157) were the other winners for the Monarchs (9-7, 5-2).
ODU will host the MAC Championships, which begin March 8 at the Constant Center.
