ODU women's golf team headed to Columbus Regional

The Old Dominion women's golf team will head to Columbus, Ohio, to compete in its first NCAA golf regional May 8-10.

The Monarchs are seeded 15th in the 18-team Columbus Regional, which will be played on OSU Golf Club's Scarlet Course. SEC champion Florida is the top seed in the regional.

The NCAA field includes 72 teams and 24 individuals, broken evenly into four regionals. The other regionals are in Albuquerque, N.M., Athens, Ga., and Lubbock, Texas. The top six teams and top three individuals not on those teams from each regional will advance to the national championships May 19-24 in Sugar Grove, Ill.
