NORFOLK | The Old Dominion women’s soccer team scored a pair of unanswered goals Sunday – one in each half – to defeat Richmond 2-1 in its home opener at the ODU Soccer Complex.
After Lexi Prillaman gave the Spiders (1-1) a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute, the Lady Monarchs tied it on Kathryn Hill’s tally in the 16th minute.
In the 76th minute, Madison Hogan converted on a misdirected deflection from Keri Vornadore to give ODU (1-1) the lead.
Krista Moisio saved four shots for ODU, which hosts Virginia Commonwealth at 7 p.m. Thursday.
