NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (2-0-0) will take on VCU (1-0-0) on Thursday, Aug. 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Sportsbackers Stadium in Richmond, Va. Then on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 4:30 p.m., the Monarchs welcome No. 12 nationally ranked Duke (2-1-0) to the ODU Soccer Complex.
The Monarchs kicked off the 2017 season with two victories at home last week. First, Old Dominion downed George Mason, 4-1, before blanking Albany, 3-0. Senior captain defender, Jackie Stroud, leads ODU in scoring with three goals and an assist (seven points). In her first career collegiate game, Carla Morich dished out three assists.
