NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion Lady Monarchs avenged a loss to Rice from earlier in the season by taking down the Owls, 61-52, on senior day at the Ted Constant Center on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Monarchs finished the regular season with a 14-16 overall record and a 10-8 mark in Conference USA, while Rice concluded the season 8-21 overall and 7-11 in the league.
Jennie Simms led the Lady Monarchs with 24 points five rebounds, while Ije Ajemba pulled in a game-high 15 rebounds to go along with her eight points.
