Norfolk, Va. – Two members of the ODU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) have earned national roles to represent Conference USA on NCAA committees over the past week. Current SAAC President, Mufu Taiwo, will serve as one of two representatives for Conference USA on the Student-Athlete Connection Group within the Football Oversight Committee. Former SAAC President, Sam Perelman, will take over as Vice Chair of the national NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
During its June 2018 in-person meeting, the NCAA Division I Football Oversight Committee voted to change its structure to provide football student-athletes increased opportunities for providing feedback to the committee.
