POWELL’S POINT, N.C. – After a slow start to round one, the Old Dominion men’s golf team, led by juniors Gustav Fransson and Rasmus Konradsson, roared back to place second at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate, hosted by Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powell’s Point, North Carolina on Tuesday afternoon.
Entering the final round, the Monarchs were just one stroke behind North Dakota State, and even took the lead at one point, but the Bisons pulled away, posting a score of 272 for the round against ODU’s 275. NDSU finished with a 26-under par, just four strokes ahead of the Monarchs’ score of 22-under.
