Tyler Edwards scored twice, and the Old Dominion men’s soccer team blanked Florida Atlantic 3-0 on Friday in the Monarchs’ Conference USA opener.
Edwards scored in the 39th and 57th minutes, and Chesapeake’s Brandon Perdue added his team-leading fourth tally of the season in the 65th.
ODU (3-1-2, 1-0-0) outshot the Owls (1-3-0, 1-1-0) 14-6 in snapping a four-game winless streak.
The Monarchs host former Colonial Athletic Association rival VCU on Tuesday night.
