ODU men's soccer on a roll ... and in the national poll, at No. 18

Old Dominion defender Fox Slotemaker goes up for the ball on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, against Virginia Commonwealth.

Old Dominion, which has been beaten just once this season, climbed back into the national men's soccer rankings this week at No. 18.

Indiana continues to hold the No. 1 spot, while Virginia moved up one position to No. 10.

The Monarchs (7-1-2, 4-0-0 Conference USA) had been ranked in late August but fell out shortly after. Their rise comes after ODU has won five straight game and has taken the top spot in C-USA.

The Monarchs are in action next on Saturday in a non-conference game at home against Coastal Carolina at 6 p.
