The Monarchs made out like bandits, coming away with 17 steals in their 10th win out of their last 11. ODU was fortunate enough to control the pace of the entire contest as they would lead their opponents for over thirty-eight minutes out of the total 40 of competiton.
In addition to the win, Coach Jeff Jones stated how impressed he was with their defensive efforts on Saturday night. He expressed, “Overall this was a terrific effort by our guys, we played really good defense today. I don’t think I ever coached a team that had 17 steals in one game.
