NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The college football season is still almost six months away, but this is the time of year to get everybody into shape.

Old Dominion coach Bobby Wilder suited up 86 players, but only 47 took part in practice, while 39 others worked on conditioning drills.

Starting quarterback David Washington was on the field, but the senior is not taking part in drills, he’s still rehabbing his knee that he injured last season.

Instead Shuler Bentley, who started last year at quarterback got the most snaps.
