NORFOLK, Va. – In its only exhibition game leading up to the 2019 regular season, the Old Dominion men’s basketball team downed CNU by a 64-35 score on Wednesday night at Chartway Arena. ODU’s defense held the Captains to 19.0% shooting from the floor and 20.7% shooting from deep for the contest. 10 different Monarchs scored on Wednesday night, led by Xavier Green’s 16 points to go along with eight rebounds and four assists.
“At times our defense was really, really good. I don’t know if it was 19% good,” said ODU head coach Jeff Jones.
