NORFOLK (WAVY) – With a trip to the program’s first ever bowl game on the line, Old Dominion ended last season with a 33-31 home loss to Florida Atlantic University, and finished 5-7.

“That’s been our whole mindset this off-season; never having that feeling again,” said senior linebacker T.J. Ricks.

And so the 2016 edition of the Monarchs began fall practice with plenty of fire and motivation. “These guys are highly motivated right now,” said Bobby Wilder, who’s heading into his eighth season as the Monarchs’ head coach.
