ODU Drops 22-14 Match to Buffalo

NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion wrestling team fell to Buffalo, 22-14, Friday night at the Ted Constant Center before 405 fans. The Bulls improved to 7-4, 2-2 (MAC) while the Monarchs dropped to 4-7, 1-4 (MAC).

The Bulls got off to a fast start after Kyle Akins and Bryan Lantry picked up back-to-back bonus point victories at 125 and 133, respectively.

Kevin Budock, wrestling in his first home dual meet at the Ted Constant Center, swung some momentum back in the Monarchs' favor when he topped Jason Estevez with a takedown in the first sudden victory period to win, 3-1 OT.
