NORFOLK (WAVY) – Anyone who’s ever watched Old Dominion’s pass-happy attack led by quarterbacks Thomas DeMarco, Taylor Heinicke, and now David Washington and Shuler Bentley knows that the Monarch defense has rarely been spectacular.
Last season, ODU surrendered an average of 35 points per game. This season, head coach Bobby Wilder expects his defensive unit to make its biggest leap ever, led by what he calls “the best defensive line we’ve ever had.”
The line will be led by Oshane Ximines, who led the team with five and a half sacks as freshman a year ago.
