Connor Myers and Nick Lustrino had two hits apiece and four Old Dominion pitchers combined on a five-hitter Friday night as the Monarchs defeated Texas-San Antonio 5-2 in a Conference USA baseball game.
Kellam grad Sam Sinnen (3-1), ODU’s second pitcher, got the win. He allowed one hit in 3.2 scoreless innings. He struck out five.
Myers, Zach Rutherford (Western Branch) and Chris Livers (First Colonial) had RBIs for ODU (24-10, 7-6), which has won five in a row.
The teams play again at 4 p.m. today.
