NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (3-6-0, 1-1-0 C-USA) took down Florida Atlantic (5-5-1, 1-1-0 C-USA) by a 1-0 score in the Conference USA home opener on Friday night at the ODU Soccer Complex in front of a season-high crowd of 702. The clean-sheet was the first for ODU this year.
In the 38th minute, Madison Hogan fed Iris Achterhof, who beat the Owls’ keeper, giving ODU an early 1-0 lead. The goal was Achterhof’s third of the season, while the assist was Hogan’s first this year. The goal marked the first one on FAU in a total of 259 minutes.
