ODU Completes 5th Straight Shutout After Flying Past Roadrunners, 2-0

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Old Dominion women’s soccer team (7-6-3, 4-3-1 C-USA) completed its fifth straight shutout after defeating UTSA (5-9-1, 1-6-1 C-USA) by a 2-0 score on Thursday night at the Park West Athletics Complex. ODU has not surrendered a goal in its last 502 minutes of play. The Monarchs last loss came on Sept. 28th.

Iris Achterhof scored her third goal of the season in the 36th minute to give ODU a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. Old Dominion held a 3-2 shot advantage after the opening 45 minutes.

In the 66th minute, Natalie Johnson blasted a header past UTSA’s keeper off an Achterhof corner kick to stretch the Monarchs lead to 2-0.
