RICHMOND, Va. – The No. 32 nationally ranked Old Dominion women's tennis team defeated VCU (6-6) by a 6-1 score on Sunday afternoon at the University of Richmond. The Tennis Monarchs improved to 11-2 on the year. ODU has claimed victory in seven of its last eight matches, outscoring its opponents 34-12 during that stretch.
"ODU versus VCU is always important and isn't hard to get motivated for," ODU head coach Dominic Manilla stated. "Today, we looked very athletic and precise. I'm pleased how we were able to keep the focus and get across the finish line in such strong fashion.
