NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 22 Old Dominion baseball team won its fourth consecutive Conference USA series by defeating Rice, 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex.
"We hit a number of balls really hard, but the wind was blowing in today and Rice just made the catches," said ODU head coach . "I was really happy with how we swung the bats. Their pitcher Blake Brogdon was really good and we had some really good at bats off him."
ODU (27-7, 13-3 C-USA) jumped out on top early as delivered a sacrifice fly to plate a run in the first inning.
