No. 18 U.Va. belts four homers in 18-5 rout of ODU

Pavin Smith hit two homers Tuesday, including a grand slam, and drove in seven runs as No. 18 Virginia routed Old Dominion 18-5 in a nonconference baseball game at Davenport Field.

The Cavaliers are the first ranked opponent the Monarchs faced this season, and the 18 runs are the most Virginia has scored against ODU. The Monarchs lead the all-time series 33-28-2.
