NORFOLK, Va. – Francois Musitelli of the Old Dominion men’s tennis team was named the Conference USA Athlete of the Week, as announced by league officials on Wednesday.
Musitelli defeated Finbar Talcott in straight sets to lift Old Dominion to victory over William & Mary in the regular season finale by a 4-3 score. Musitelli and teammate Aziz Kijametovic are nationally ranked No. 80 for doubles and picked up another victory on Saturday against the Tribe’s No. 1 tandem.
Musitelli is now 13-3 in singles action for the season. The Tennis Monarchs are nationally ranked No.
