IRVING, Texas - Old Dominion University football redshirt senior Mufu Taiwo has been named the Conference USA football recipient of the 2019 Jim Castañeda Postgraduate Scholarship, C-USA announced on Monday.
An information technology major, Taiwo is ODU's SAAC (Student Athletic Advisory Committee) President and is a member of the student-athlete advisory group within the NCAA Division I Football Oversight Committee. He will complete his master’s degree in public administration there as well.
Taiwo appeared in all 12 games, registering 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and recovered one fumble this season for the Monarchs.
