NORFOLK (WAVY) — Old Dominion football fans, coaches and players had a little scare earlier this week when starting quarterback David Washington left practice after favoring his knee, the same knee that underwent major reconstructive surgery after he tore three ligaments late last season.

Washington underwent an MRI last night, and the results were encouraging. In a statement released by the University, head coach Bobby Wilder said:

“The MRI revealed that David Washington has a sprained right knee. There is no structural damage.
