NORFOLK, Va. – After his victory in the VCU Invitational at the Country Club of Virginia’s Tuckahoe Creek Course, Old Dominion senior Carter Morgan was named the Conference USA Co-Golfer of the Week along with UTEP’s Oskar Ambrosius, as voted on and announced by league officials on Wednesday afternoon.
Morgan finished with a 13-under par for the event, including a tournament-best 64 in the second round of the par-72 course, to secure the victory for himself and lead ODU to its first tournament win since the 2016-2017 season.
Morgan shot a 5-under 67 in the final round to surpass Maryland’s Peter Knade, who started the round in a tie for first place, by one stroke.
