More than 4,000 see Hokies pound out 8-4 win over ODU at Harbor Park

A crowd of 4,311 at Harbor Park watched Virginia Tech pound out 12 hits to pull away from Old Dominion 8-4 in a matchup of state Division I baseball teams Tuesday afternoon.

Old Dominion (35-17) used three runs in the fourth to rally for a 3-2 lead in the fourth before Tech (23-29) responded. The Hokies scored a run in each of the next four innings to capture the win.

Culver Lamb led Old Dominion at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and two RBIs. Turner Bishop was the only other Monarch with a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
