Monarchs snap 3-game skid with win at W&M

WILLIAMSBURG — Morgan Maguire scattered one run and three hits over six innings Tuesday, and Old Dominion held on for a 4-2 win over William & Mary in a nonconference baseball game at Plumeri Park.

Maguire (1-2) struck out five in earning his first win this season for the Monarchs, who snapped a three-game skid.

Matt Burch batted in two runs for ODU, on a groundout in the first inning and a sacrifice fly in the third.

Connor Muly pitched 1.2 perfect innings for his first save, inducing a 6-4-3 double play in the eighth to preserve the lead.
