ODU finished the game on a 22-2 run to blow out the Charlotte 49ers, 72-48. The 24-point victory was the Monarchs largest margin of the season. Sophomore Ahmad Caver performed well once again scoring 17 points and dishing out eight assists.
“The guys know that we’ve challenged them. We haven’t put together a string,” ODU head coach Jeff Jones said.
Charlotte (11-14, C-USA 5-9) was out of sync all night long turning the ball over 18 times. The lone bright spot for the 49ers was their freshman guard Jon Davis who scored more than half of their points with his 26.
