Michael Marrale delivered a two-out RBI single in the 10th inning Saturday, and Old Dominion held on for a 14-13 win over Texas-San Antonio, evening the Conference USA baseball series at Roadrunner Field.
The 10-inning game was the Monarchs' second straight and fourth contest to go extras in the past six.
ODU (20-14, 4-10) scored six runs over the first two inning and led 10-4 after seven. The Monarchs led 13-8 in the ninth before the Roadrunners rallied.
Hickory High grad Hunter Gregory (3-3) earned the win in relief despite giving up give runs on four hits over 2 1/3 innings.
