NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion (1-0-0) men’s soccer team opened up their 2018 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Radford (0-1-0) on Friday night.
ODU got out to an early start from a goal by Max Wilschrey. In the 19th minute, Hans Kroschwitz dished over a cross to Wilschrey, who then sent a header right over the Radford goalkeepers hands.
Last season, Wilschrey led the Monarchs in goals with eight.
Throughout the second half of play, Radford’s Myles Yorke was handed his second yellow card of the game, which left the Highlanders playing a man down the remainder of the game.
