Wichita, KS – The Old Dominion women’s tennis team (8-3) fell to Wichita State (7-2) by a 4-2 score on Sunday afternoon at the Wichita Country Club.
Nataliia Vlasova defeated Giulia Guidetti in No. 3 singles (3-6, 6-2, 6-4), while Victoria Olivarez also claimed a singles victory over Gabriela Porubin (6-3, 6-3) in No. 4 singles.
The Monarchs will continue to travel to play their next four matches. Those four matches, in order, consist of: Penn, Temple, C-USA foe Marshall and finally, West Virginia. Once this long road stretch is over, ODU will play the next seven matches at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center and also get to host the Conference USA Tournament.
