WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The ODU men’s tennis team (3-2) fell to the No. 1 nationally ranked team Wake Forest (3-0) by a 4-0 score on Friday night at the Wake Forest Tennis Center, as part of the 2018 ITA Kick-Off.
“Margins are tiny when you play the best team in the country,” explained ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “We had two match points to win the doubles point and let another set point slide by in singles. We can see that we are not far away, but being close is not satisfying. Tomorrow we are playing the defending West Coast Conference regular season champion and I can’t wait to see how we make those improvements tomorrow.
