HAMPTON, Va. – The Old Dominion (4-5, 2-1 MAC) wrestling team wrestled three matches on Friday, including a win over Campbell and a loss to No. 9 Virginia Tech and Iowa State. The Monarchs will wrestle Chattanooga tomorrow at 10 a.m. on mat 3.
The Monarchs defeated Campbell, 22-18, lost to the Hokies, 28-9, and dropped their final match to the Cyclones, 25-12.
“We were fortunate to wrestle the No. 9 team in the country and a Big 12 team in Iowa State," said head coach Steve Martin.
In their first match of the day, the Monarchs defeated the Fighting Camels of Campbell, 22-18.
