Old Dominion scored a goal in each half Thursday night to beat North Carolina State 2-0 at the ODU Soccer Complex in an NCAA tournament first-round match.
The win sends the No. 25 Monarchs (13-5-2) to No. 2 Indiana (15-0-5), the second overall seed, for a second-round match at 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Monarchs made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute when Max Wilschrey's shot from about 15 yards ricochcheted off the far post into the net.
ODU owned a 10-5 advantage in shots, but none of the Wolfpack's shots was on goal.
