Monarchs and Hatters tie 1-1 after playing two overtime periods

NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion and Stetson end in a tie 1-1 after two overtime periods [110 minutes] on Sunday night at the ODU Soccer Complex. Cole Stringer’s goal in the 32nd minute tied the game at one all and ultimately resulted in the final score. Stringer earned ‘Man of the Match’ honors for tallying the Monarchs lone goal.

The Hatters got on the board first with a goal by Ian McCauley, his first of the season, in the 5th minute [5:04] going up 1-0 over the Monarchs. McCauley connected with the net after a double-header by Luke Ferreira to Gabriel Diniz and in to McCauley to make the play.
