Minium: ODU has question marks at QB, but should be improved

Preseason college football predictions can be a shot the dark, particularly ones made six months before the season begins. That's why a recent column in the Orlando Sentinel ranking Conference USA's quarterbacks should be taken with a proper degree of skepticism.

If true, though, the prediction bodes poorly for Old Dominion. Monarch quarterbacks were ranked 12th in the 13-team league, only behind UNC Charlotte, which really struggled at the position last season.

ODU begins spring practice in two weeks with its best quarterback sidelined with an injury. We likely won't know who will start for ODU until mid- or even late August.
