NORFOLK, VA – The Mike Slive Foundation is partnering with C-USA on the Block Cancer initiative throughout the month of February to raise awareness for prostate cancer with each C-USA school choosing one conference game as its Block Cancer event. Old Dominion designated the conference game against Rice on Saturday, February 2 at 7 p.m. as its Block Cancer event.
“I am proud to support this great organization in honor of Mike Slive, who was a true gentleman and a perfect ambassador for college basketball. One in seven men will confront this diagnosis in their lifetime; if we all do our part to raise awareness, it will go a long way towards helping our fellow fighters,” said ODU Head Men’s Basketball Coach Jeff Jones.
