NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s tennis team (1-0) started the 2019 spring season with a 5-2 victory over Temple (0-1) on Friday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
“We talked a lot about character in the fall and leading up to this match and we showed it today,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “After a very poor doubles point, the guys came out focused in singles and bounced back. It’s not easy to win in straight sets on five courts against a good team. We have a lot of respect for Temple, they have a deep line up from 1-6 and competed very hard.
