WILMINGTON, N.C. - Old Dominion University swimming and diving opened the season over the weekend, as the men's squad opened with a win over Gardner-Webb, with the women falling in close meets.
The men defeated G-W by a score of 155-102 on Friday. The Monarchs started the day with a win in the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:34.96 with the team of Anton Mikaelsson, Peter Durisin, Filip Svedberg and Parker Harp. ODU received a pair of race wins from Ethan Apisa in the 1000 and 500 freestyle, and Anton Mikaelsson in the 100 and 200 backstroke.
