Men's Soccer Closes Season at FAU after 4-3 OT Loss

BOCA RATON, Fla. - In an offensive battle that went back and forth, the Old Dominion (3-11-1, 1-5-1 C-USA) men's soccer team fell to FAU (7-7-1, 3-4-0 C-USA) after an overtime goal lifted the Owls over ODU, 4-3.

With the Friday night loss, the Monarchs did not qualify for the 2019 C-USA Tournament that is held in Norfolk from Nov. 13-17.

To open up the match, ODU got out to an early lead off of Tom Wustenberg and Deniz Dogan goals in the 2nd and 13th minutes, respectively. Just before halftime, the Owls cut the Monarch lead in half with a goal in the 39th minute.
