PINEHURST, N.C. -- The Old Dominion men's golf team jumped out to an early lead after day one of the Pinehurst Intercollegiate Friday, as the Monarchs fired a 292 (+8) and will head into day two of the tournament in first place out of 14 teams.
ODU has three golfers within the top 10 after round one and all five Monarchs are in the top 15 currently.
Chad Hess leads the pack of Monarchs after firing a one-over 72 in round one, as the junior currently sits in a three-way tie for fourth place.
